Lucas Forgy is a life student of the restaurant industry.  Growing up in a small town in Iowa, he found his love for the kitchen, at the early age of 15, with his first cooking job in the towns’ steakhouse.  This experience transformed his view of food from a substance to a passion.  Forgy continued to develop an infatuation with food as he worked at various restaurants.  During this time, he worked his way up the ranks in the kitchen.  Wanting to showcase his enthusiasm for the culinary industry, and take his passion to another level, he moved to Orlando to attend culinary program at Le Cordon Bleu.  He flourished during his culinary education, earning top honors and graduating Summa Cum Laude.  Not only was his cooking ability elevated but a sense of business was ignited.  He worked a various restaurants across the country through the years.  Forgy now focuses on running and evolving his own restaurants Freshcraft and Block & Larder.  They both feature his trained, creative style of comfort cuisine with a modern, sophisticated flair. He is always focusing on the ever changing wants of diners. Here are a couple highlights from Chef Forgy’s menu:
